70th Anniversary Cake Design Winners

70th Anniversary Cake Design Winners

Many, many thanks to the bakeries and chefs who participated in our first-ever, art-inspired cake design competition. Some wonderfully creative designs were constructed! Over 300 visitors attended Sunday’s opening reception for the exhibition, 70 Years of Collecting, and approximately 102 voted for their favorite cake design. It was a very close call, with A Sweet Success the chosen winner. The day was great fun, especially since guests got to sample all of the cakes!

1st place: A Sweet Success!

2nd place: Maxie B’s

3rd place: Le Cake Cafe

See coverage of the competition on Carl Wilson’s “Short Orders” blog on the News & Record website.
