Revenge of the Electric Car follows the current electric car renaissance through the eyes of four industry pioneers: Bob Lutz, the General Motors executive who inspired the Volt; Elon Musk, the young dot-com billionaire and head of Tesla Motors; Carlos Ghosn, who in 2009 astonished the car world by launching the Nissan LEAF; and Greg “Gadget” Abbott, one of thousands of do-it-yourselfers who are determined to start the Electric Vehicle revolution right now. Revenge of the Electric Car (2011) is directed by Chris Paine whose 2006 award-winning documentary, "Who Killed the Electric Car" was previously screened at the UNCG Sustainability Film Series. 90 minutes.

The 6th Annual Sustainability Film + Discussion Series is presented by the Weatherspoon and the UNCG Sustainability Committee to address current issues affecting the environment. The year long series features new documentary films and post-screening discussions with faculty and community experts.

Come early for an information exchange with Advance Vehicle Technology Instructor, Ricky Lewis and students from James B. Dudley High School who will display their electric and hybrid vehicles prior to the screening. Info exchange begins at 6pm; film begins at 6:30pm in the auditorium. Free.
