Leslie Smith is a printmaker and book artist who studied at University of Iowa Center for the Book. Teachers will explore possibilities for using text, imagery, and games of chance to create a series of small handmade books, using a variety of methods, tools, and printmaking + bookmaking techniques.
Meet at WAM on Tuesday to get acquainted with the instructor and each other before moving into the Printmaking Studio in Gatewood Art Building. We’ll take a break on Wednesday to let the ink dry and return to the studio on Thursday. Bring your lunch so that we can eat together during our break. Refrigerator and microwave are available at the museum. A certificate of participation will be provided and can be used for CEU credit with the prior approval of your school system.
Limited to 15 teachers. Contact Terri Dowell-Dennis at email@example.com or 336-256-1449. Pre-registration is required.
Thanks to generous support from the Charlotte W. Toler Art Education Endowment WAM is able to keep workshop costs at a nominal rate for teachers.
