Greensboro Collects
October 16, 2010 – December 12, 2010

Periodically the Weatherspoon Art Museum has held exhibitions of artworks privately owned in this community as a way to foster and promote the city’s cultural wealth. This edition of the exhibition will feature a wide range of impressive artwork from the 20th and 21st centuries. While some objects may be familiar to viewers, having been part of past “Art on Paper” exhibitions at the museum (and thus illustrating that many outstanding works of art have remained in Greensboro in addition to those purchased for the museum’s permanent collection), many will be fresh delights. The exhibition will open with a Special Reception for the collectors and special guests on Friday, October 15.
