Installation view: Weatherspoon Art Museum, 2007.

The 2007 Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition features work by ten candidates in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Department of Art graduate program: Catherine Berlanga (drawing/painting), Stephanie Birmingham (painting), Phoebe Briley (digital), Dustin Hinson (mixed media), Christi Koenig (painting), Juie Rattley (painting), Ari Richter (mixed media), Izumi Ryono (ceramic sculpture), Anthony Schraeder (digital/painting), and Peter Spivak (mixed media).

UNCG’s two-year MFA course consists of an intensive studio arts program, studies in art history, and a written thesis paper. This exhibition demonstrates the energy and commitment of the artists, who engaged in numerous critiques by faculty, visiting artists, and their peers to develop, through practice, research and self-examination, significant bodies of work for their thesis exhibition. We wish them success as they begin to navigate the complexities of the greater world of contemporary art.

We have six galleries located on the first and second levels of the museum, view our gallery map.
