The Weatherspoon Art Museum has long enjoyed the financial and volunteer support of the greater Greensboro community. Museum membership and individual gifts provide between twenty and twenty-five percent of the annual operating budget, the rest of which derives from the State of North Carolina, UNCG, grants, private foundations and corporations. With ongoing budget cuts from the state and university, individual, corporate, and foundation support are more vital than ever, providing an ever-growing portion of the Weatherspoon’s annual operating budget.
