Artist Talk: John Ahearn

Apr 20, 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Artist Talk: John Ahearn photo

Artist John Ahearn returns to Greensboro for a talk on his current work. An artist in residence at the Weatherspoon in 1995, Ahearn has a close tie to the museum and the community. A storefront on Lee Street became a working studio where he created life-like plaster portraits of Greensboro residents. A portrait cast of Ed Whitfield, currently on view in the 70 Years of Collecting exhibition, is one such example to arise from this project.

Seating is limited. Doors open 30 minutes prior. Free.
